DOGS ENTERING THE PLAYGROUND MUST SOCIAL, FRIENDLY and ENJOY BEING AROUND OTHER DOGS AND PEOPLE.
For some dogs, going to a dog park may not be the right environment for them. Our priority are the dogs first and people second.
Access. After successful payment of a Bundle, Single Day Pass, or Monthly/Annual or Special Sale Pricing Membership, KISI will email the instructions to access the exterior door. If you do not have a smart phone, you may purchase a badge card. Please allow up to 1-business day for KISI to send the email instructions.
Tailgating/Piggybacking. Do not allow someone else to enter on your badge/code. Each paid Member will have to scan or badge at the door.
Cleaning. We are a self-use, self-cleaning facility. That means, you need to pick up after yourself and dog before you leave. Bags, receptacles, cleaner, buckets, and mops are available throughout The Playground. Each day/night, staff will deep clean and sanitize the entire Playground.
Shots/vaccines. Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella (canine cough), and a negative (annual) fecal are required for all dogs who enter The Playground. Dogs must be on a regular flea and tick and heart worm preventatives. We also highly recommend getting a Lepto vaccine (optional) and an Influenza shot (optional). Male dogs that are 1-year or older must be neutered. For larger breed dogs, we will work with each individual pet parent. No female dog while “in heat” is allowed entrance.
Leave sick dogs at home. Do not bring a dog that is sick, has parasites, worms, fleas or ticks, or is coughing or sneezing into The Playground. Illnesses can quickly spread around The Playground through shared water dishes, urine and feces, through contact with other dogs, and even through contact with the lawns where a sick dog has been. Likewise, if your dog is very young, very old, or whose immune system is compromised in any way, leave them at home.
Aggressive Dogs. No “aggressive” dog(s) may enter The Playground. Dogs must be social, friendly, and enjoy being around other dogs. Dogs must not be aggressive and not exhibit signs of prey drive or have resource guarding issues. You are always responsible for your dog(s) and their actions/behavior. Be attentive and actively watch your dog and behavior at all times. If an incident/situation occurs, the owners will review the cameras, log a report and discuss with the Pet Parent(s) of all dogs involved. It'll be up to the discretion of the owners on the appropriate actions and next steps. All conversations between the Pet Parents will remain confidential.
Barking & Running. Please keep barking to a minimum. This can amp up the room's energy, some dogs don't like it, and can be a distraction for the humans. Plus, we like our building neighbors and do not want any complaints. While we do allow the dogs to run, the we are all responsible to stop the running when it becomes too much for the lead dog, the chasers and/or when it feels that it's becoming too much and the room's energy has increased.
Training. Your dog must be able to exhibit basic obedience training, be open to training suggestions by the owners, and/or be prepared to enroll in Dog Obedience Training. Examples of this: able to sit, lay, and recall. You must be able to control your dog(s) at all times while at The Playground. You are always free to keep your dog on a leash and use The Playground as a training opportunity (with distractions).
Leashes. Owners must carry a leash at all times. Dogs must be on a non-retractable leash when entering/leaving the facility. e-Collars used as a leash is not permitted. This is for yours and your dog’s safety. Once inside The Playground, you may remove the leash. You may continue to to use the leash for training purposes.
Collars and Tags. Always have a collar, displaying the tags, on your dog. Remove any spiked collars, choke chains, prong, e-collars, or metal collars before entering The Playground. You may use e-Collars while inside The Playground and you understand and acknowledge that it can become broken by another dog.
Toys/Training Treats. No dog toys, snacks, food, training treats of any kind will be allowed in The Playground. Toys and treats can trigger resource guarding. However, if you are the ONLY dog in The Playground, you may use toys and treats, but when someone comes in, all toys and treats must be put away.
Human Food. Food items may be brought into the facility and consumed inside designated area only.
Kids. No one under the age of 16 may bring a dog into The Playground. People under the age of 16, must be accompanied by an adult. Infants and toddlers can be easily knocked over by overly rambunctious dogs. Strange dogs may be unfamiliar with kids, putting children at risk for bad experiences or injuries that leave the parent responsible. Your priority while here at The Playground is your dog. Do not allow your children to taunt other dogs, bully them, pull on their ears, tail, etc. Do not put children/kids on shoulders to carry them around. Maximum of two (2) dogs per adult, per visit. You are always responsible for your dog(s) and their actions/behavior.
Pause before you enter. Remove the leash while in the entrance foyer or after the gate. Make sure that the glass door closed before opening the gate. Also pause to look around to see if a lot of dogs are swarming the entrance, or if there’s a scuffle going on, this isn't the time to open The Playground gate. A pause will also allow other pooches to get used to your dog(s) and not go into hyper-mode when they do come in. You are always welcome to use the side door to "sneak" inside. You are also welcome to keep the leash on your dog as you enter, too.
Distractions. Your dog needs to be actively supervised at all times, even when you are visiting with the other pet parents, greeting one of your pooch’s friends', playing any of the games, using the Fetch a Sketch board, and/or eating. And of course it goes without saying, but never, never leave your dog unattended in The Playground. Be attentive and actively watch your dog and behavior at all times.
Humping/Mounting. Humping can be part of normal play, but not all dogs, or their humans, react nicely to it and aggressive responses may occur — from the dog and human. Instead, redirect your dog or remove them from The Playground if his/her humping becomes excessive. You are always responsible for your dog(s) and their actions/behavior. Be attentive and actively watch your dog and behavior at all times.
Read the signals. Not only should your dog play well with others if you plan to take them to the Playground -- you need to be able to read canine behavior, too. Dogs at play have relaxed ears, wagging tails, and may "play bow" with their front end down to the ground. Upset hounds hold their tails at half-mast or between their legs. Their ears are pinned back, and their pupils shrink so you can see the whites of the eyes. A dog that’s ready to rumble will be tense, hold their head high, and will lean forward. Their ears will point up or forward, too. While growls are common in play, snarling with lips curled back isn’t. If you see these danger signs, redirect the dog with a loud hand clap, whistle, or yell the dog’s name. You are always responsible for your dog(s) and their actions/behavior. Be attentive and actively watch your dog and behavior at all times.
Fights. This is a good way to get bitten — in an aroused state, your dog (or someone else’s) may unintentionally injure you. The dog may also see you as a threat and redirect his aggression toward you. Instead of jumping in between two fighting dogs, use other tactics for breaking up a dog fight. Pet Parents are legally responsible for their dogs and any injuries caused by them. You are always responsible for your dog(s) and their actions/behavior. Be attentive and actively watch your dog and behavior at all times.
Agility Equipment. The agility equipment items are for the enjoyment of the doggies (not humans, littles, or the like). Using any of the agility equipment is at your dog's risk. Please return all items when done using them.
Partitions. Do not move these to another location. Do not unlock the wheels. Do not lean against them. They are heavy and the 3-wheeled partitions can be tippy.
Facility Hours. The facility is open 24/7 to Members, however, there may be times when the capacity is filled and we may have to limit the number of Members at any given time. We may be closed for a few hours, depending on circumstances out of our control, private, or public events. Office Hours may vary.
Smoking. No smoking is allowed once inside the facility, that includes e-Cigs, smokeless, and/or marijuana.
Reservations. On a normal/average day, reservations are not required to access into The Playground for Monthly/Annual Members. Single Day Passes do require a reservation. However, if it's been raining/snowing all day or below 10/above 90, a reservation will be required for all Members. Please limit your time to 90-minutes to allow the most Members to join that day. Existing "active" Annual Members then "active" Monthly Members will have first priority into The Playground versus Single Day Passers.
Events. There may be free events at The Playground and those events are at no additional cost for Members to participate. However, there may be "hosted" events that may have a cost to participate. A reservation and/or "add-on" service may be required for the optional portions (photography sessions, doggie treat making, training, etc).
Cancellation. As a Member, you may cancel any Reservation for an Event at any time by logging into your Customer Portal Account. To cancel a Membership, you must use the Cancellation Request Format least 2-business days prior to the end of the current billing cycle. These cancellations need to be manually canceled by a staff member. Membership cancelations go into effect immediately unless you request a future date, and there will be no prorated refunds. If you wish to re-activate your Membership, you may be subject to a $35.00 re-enrollment fee; billed on the second billing cycle. This is to cover the time and re-verification of the vaccination records.
Warnings. Failure to abide by any of these Playground Rules or Terms and Conditions may result in the suspension and/or termination of your Membership. You may get a communication notification with a 7-day Playground suspension on your first infraction. You may get another communication notification with a 30-day Playground suspension on your second infraction. On your third infraction, your Membership to the facility may be terminated. If termination occurs, there will be no refunds. It will be at the discretion of the owners if they deem it necessary to cease, suspend, and/or revoke your Membership if they feel you may have violated any Rule or Terms & Condition.
Communications. All communications between pet parents will remain confidential to the owners and any other pet parent if they need to be brought into the conversation. The owners will not divulge any of the rulings or decisions to other pet parents.
Incidents: While we do our best to create an environment that's safe for all dogs and people, we do log all incidents that occurs to the dogs or humans. Videos will be saved but shared publicly.
