SUNDAY PM UPDATE Internet is back up and running. We have the phone/internet company coming on Monday morning to test and troubleshoot more. My guess is that the router is going bad since we managed to reboot some of it and they were able to do a full reboot/restore from their end.

UPDATE Internet is down again and the KISI door is not opening. Rodney is over there testing and troubleshooting.

If anyone is going to The Playground tonight, the KISI door might not work; the internet is down. At least we are getting alerts that something is off. It might come back up later.

This is a friendly reminder that the equipment inside The Playground is strictly for dogs. Even though some items may resemble children's play structures, we ask that no humans stand, run, or play on them (sitting is permitted).

As a dogs-first facility, our priority is providing a safe environment for our canine guests. If your children would like to play, please take them to a designated children's playground.

Dogs and people in costume are encouraged for this coming Saturday's Halloween Party (11AM - 1PM)! We will be taking free photos using our new photo printer!!

As you may be aware, we had posted about Monthly Challenges. This month is stopping dogs jumping on people. Since it is a challenge, come see me if you want to enter your dog's name on the tracker to watch the progress.

I'll tally previous months' challenges to the current month if your dog can successfully do the challenge. This round will end on December 31 and a new one will begin in 2027.

July: Name (completed)

August: Recall During Play (completed)

September: Gate Management (completed)

October: No Jumping on People

To clarify, no uncleared dog(s) can enter through the glass door (even with your valid KISI-Key). All dogs must go through the same process: Profile, Vaccinations, Verification, and then be Vetted (Meet-N-Sniff).

Bourbon & Butcher is in Farmington. The event is still going on, however, sorry, no dogs today. So it's up to you if you still want lunch or not. We will be inside.

Some of you may have noticed a Monthly Challenge sign at the front entrance gate. As we gear up for the coming winter months, the busy time for us, we all need to work on a few things in prep for that.

Sept is getting a relaxed and settled dog through the gate. If your dog is calm, then the dogs greeting them also will be calm. If your dog comes in 'hot' then it makes all of The Playground dogs amped up.

There is a difference between excited energy (Bella) and nervous energy (Hugo). If you cannot get your dog to settle, think about using the white door and go through the small dog entrance and/or walk (the human leads the walk) your dog around on a leash (Elsie) to get them to settle a bit.

Next month will be more challenging (for some)...

For those planning to attend this Saturday's "Fair on a Stick" event, we will be serving corndogs (kats and mustard) during the event. We are asking a $1 donation to cover the cost.

Now that I'm done practicing on dogs, I am opening it up to any Member Dog.

I'm doing it a bit differently than other places. Smaller dogs (typically under 30lbs) will be $10 and using the grinder; it's quicker.

For larger dogs (approx over 30lbs) will be $15 and using the clippers and grind. This will really depend on how thick the nails are.

Nail Trims can be added onto any Daycare Reservation when you book it or it can be added upon check-out. Campers and all other Members, just ask me. Like always, we take cash, Venmo, or I can run your card on file.
